Partners

The Body feeds the body.

While Love Chapel serves everyone within Bartholomew County, that work is rooted in a desire to tangibly model the love of Christ to our neighbors.

With that in mind, our work is shaped and supported by church partners throughout the county, bringing a host of theological perspectives and distinct strengths. If you’re interested in partnering with us, we have two kinds of opportunities.

Advocate Churches

These churches support Love Chapel in a variety of ways, including donating food and resources, hosting mobile outreach pantries, posting events, and recruiting volunteers. They may also participate in annual events.

Member Churches

Along with committing to the work of Love Chapel like Advocates, Member Churches have a seat on the board and the opportunity to help make decisions for the organization.

How to become a church partner

Think about how Love Chapel fits into your existing ministries.

Any work with Love Chapel should feel like a natural extension of your church’s culture, so partnership will look very different for each church.

Reach out to us to discuss partnership.

We’ll talk with you about the level of involvement you’re hoping to see, determining whether it will be more productive for your congregation to join as an Advocate or Member church.

Get involved in a way that makes sense for your church.

Whether you want to host hot meals or food pantries, recruit volunteers, or solicit donations and take part in annual events, we welcome your participation.

FAQ's

What does an Advocate Church do?

Advocate Churches actively support Love Chapel, albeit with less regularity and fewer obligations. Some donate regularly or organize a food drive, while others post volunteer positions and encourage people to participate in the hot meal program, and still others participate in annual programs like our Worship in the Park, Community-Wide Good Friday Service, or Blue Christmas Service.

What requirements are there to join as a Member Church?

The only theological requirement is to believe in Jesus Christ. Logistically, there is an application and a required recommendation to be approved as a Member Church. Once approved, Member Churches will have a seat on the board and actively influence programmatic decisions.

What resources can my church share?

How can we create even greater impact for Love Chapel?

Our community keeps us going, but we've found that sometimes churches don't let us know beforehand when they're planning a special event to support our work. We want to acknowledge the generosity that makes our work possible, so if you are planning an event, let us know. We would love to give your church a shoutout on our website and social media channels.
