Get Help

Food

Nobody should go hungry, and you don't have to.

Obtaining groceries can be a huge financial burden, but we can help lighten the load. For individuals interested in long-term resources, we have a variety of food pantries to provide healthy essentials at no cost.

For a full list of schedules and locations, see below.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

To ensure that we can help as many people as possible we can only allow one monthly visit to the full pantry, which is about 7-10 days of food, and one weekly visit to the produce/bread pantry.

Starting in May, each client who comes to the main food pantry at 292 Center Street will be given a Love Chapel Food Pantry card. This card must be brought each time the client comes to the main food pantry. Lost cards will result in a 1 week hold on food pantry services. To receive a new card, clients must fill out an application.

All outreach pantries will still require proof of residence in Bartholomew County. Your proof of residence must include your name, mailing address, and be dated within 30 days of the mobile pantry visit. Your proof of residence can be a piece of mail or any of the alternatives listed below:

  • Utility bill
  • Rent receipt
  • Prescription bottle
  • School correspondence
  • Postmarked, self-addressed envelope

Mail or ID expedite the process.

Hungry now? We have hot meals too.

Sometimes you need to eat something sooner than you can cook a load of groceries, which is why we also offer hot meals every week at several locations throughout the city.
