Mendy serves as Assistant Executive Director at Love Chapel, where she is dedicated to ensuring individuals and families in need are met with compassion, dignity, and practical support. Her passion for serving others guides her leadership and shapes the care provided across the organization’s programs.
Prior to her current role, Mendy served as Director of Program Services, where she led the daily operations of the Food Pantry and Brighter Days Homeless Shelter, strengthening services that meet critical needs in the community.
Before joining Love Chapel, Mendy spent eight years with a nonprofit organization serving tweens and teens across eight counties in Indiana. In that role, she helped young people develop healthy boundaries and essential life skills. She also brings valuable experience in healthcare human resource management and student mentoring, and she remains actively involved in her church’s emergency response team.
Mendy views her work as a calling. She is passionate about being the hands and feet of Jesus, and she sees each day at Love Chapel as an opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact. She believes that when passion and purpose align, work becomes more than a job—it becomes a mission.
